We are finally coming to end on our new redesign adding our labels feature.  I will be posting more updates on how the labels feature works but here are the basics: All Wadja users can create specific label names (in any language) for all their inbox messages, contacts, media, and activity feeds, providing a “real” file archive method that is perfectly customized. Wadja labels give users a deeper customization experience with topical discussions, user posts and Twitter tweets resting under each label conversation. Real time web, email and sms notifications are distributed to all label followers. Video links for label info will be posted later on in the day.  (more...)

New Web and Mobile Translation Engine

As a global site we have worked hard to provide the Wadja service in as many languages as possible, and our Wadja Moderators have done a great job in translating the service and user interface.  For this we are eternally thankful to all our great Wadja Moderators, who volunteer their time to make Wadja better for all users. Today the translation engine has had a nice little redesign in features and functionality.  All Wadja Moderators can now turn on our TRANSLATION EDITING service to begin viewing text, content, and links from the user interface, that needs to be adapted to their local language. The great part of the translation engine is that it covers not only the web site interface... (more...)

М-Tel and Out There Media launch Mobile Ads. Same day, M-Tel blocks Wadja SMS, Coincidence?

So the last few days our Bosnia and Herzegovina users, who are on the M-Tel network began contacting us to let us know that no sms to the M-Tel network are being delivered.  We immediately went to work to find out what was happening, troubleshooting all possibilities from technical glitches to routing problems, with no answer explaining the lack of delivery.  Our only conclusion, after extensive testing, was that M-Tel began, suddenly and without cause, blocking sms with the word Wadja in it. Now that alone was an interesting move from a smaller operator (I believe they are a third tier player in the region), but what struck me as even more interesting was the news that M-Tel... (more...)

We are happy to announce that our new Wadja mobile site is live and working great.  You can visit the moble version of wadja from any mobile device web browser by going to http://m.wadja.com.  We recommend Opera Mini (http://m.opera.com) if you do not already have a good web browser residing on your handset.   The mobile site has all the same great features, that you get on the standard web (PC/Notebook) interface, but optimized in design and size for any mobile handset.  The site really snaps with touchscreen (iPhones/Touch devices) phones as well as keyboard/qwerty phones like your favorite Nokia, Samsung and Blackberry devices. The new interface is really great to work with and has... (more...)

Yes, this is way off the Wadja topic for this blog, but being that I am part of the Wadja team and a huge fan of U2’s music since a very young age (I still remember the Rolling Stone review of War), I will digress from the usual posts about the Wadja site and deliver a much needed post (it has been a few months since we have updated this blog) about U2’s new album No Line on the Horizon.   We will begin to usher in a variety of posts centered around the new Wadja design, its features, and services that we recently rolled out to our community.  But before we get to business as usual, without further delay, lets take a look at No Line on the Horizon. All U2 albums bring something... (more...)

Following through on our commitment to open up “walled-gardens” and give users more control of how messages are received and managed, a great new feature that allows you to forward Wadja inbox messages to your favorite email accounts has been added.  Wadja users can forward Wadja messages and sms messages to any email account they own. When you add and confirm an email address, any incoming message that comes to your inbox will be forwarded to a list of email addresses below added to your Wadja account. Forwarded messages and sms are not deleted from your Wadja Inbox and always archived for your message history needs.  Screenshots below highlight the service.   To access... (more...)

Message Ads Now Live

We are really excited with the recent launch of our Message Ads service (http://msg.wadja.com) . The concept is extremely straight forward and simple; You can advertise your targeted campaign (via keyword and/or profile) on a freind to friend message.   The message ad is embedded in the conversation text of an SMS, Email, or Inbox message within the Wadja community.  The great part about message ads is how easy it is to use. Advertisers can control costs with daily budgets and bidding limits while at the same time measure campaign success with a unique combination of Cost per Delivery (CPD) and message Click Through metrics.  Remember that all messages are friend to friend (never spam,... (more...)
