Wadja Hot Tips
Today’s Wadja Hot Tips will deal with two more smart and useful functionalities concerning your Mediabox. When you upload or embed new media (photos or videos) most of the times you do not want to keep them for yourself. You would probably like to share them with your friends or even send them through email or SMS. Wadja’s Mediabox gives you the possibility to send your favorite photos or videos and reach your friends both inside and outside the wadja community. When in your Mediabox, just click on the media you would like to send. Underneath your media there are three button links. Let us say for example that you would like to send your favorite photo to your friend’s inbox. Click on the “Email embed” button. You will automatically... (more...)
11 July IPhone 3G…will be in da house!
I love the iPhone – In my opinion it’s not a mobile phone, but a new way of communicating and having fun whilst on the go. I am counting down to the day I will own one… In the US, people are already lining up outside the Apple stores in anticipation for the new 3G iPhone. Greece is one of the lucky countries where the new 3G iPhone will be available (through Vodafone, later this year). Vodafone has already started SMS’ing its customers informing them that they can pre-order the iPhone, although there is no official announcement from Vodafone as to when, where and how much! Steve Jobs did us a favor again, releasing the new 3G iPhone, which – according to their ad – is the only phone to beat the original... (more...)

Unique Visitors or Bounce rate? That is the question
Indeed that’s the question; and it’s a serious question to tackle. Jacob Nielsen in his latest Alertbox supports that unique visitors’ metrics should die and turn to bounce rates by entry source. Come to think about it, this statement is pretty much right. Bounce rates by entry source provide lots of information on various levels about your site and its users. The entry source can give you not only quantitative but qualitative information as well. While saying for example that 70% of your visitors come from Google search, 20% from techblogs and 10% from other sites, it gives you a straightforward image of the quality of your visitors. A user that landed to your homepage through Google is expected to stay to your site. This is because the... (more...)
Mobile Web I hear… Is that the future coming?
TechCrunch UK was here in Athens last night! And what a night it was… The event took place at a beautiful place by the sea (Bocca Beach), with a nice cool breeze, a young and interesting crowd, and among them the most promising of the Greek startups! After a few setbacks (“Does anybody have a microphone?”), the OpenCoffee – TechCrunch event in Athens finally started at 21:30, instead of 20:00. Mike Butcher, editor of TechCrunch UK, gave the opening presentation and after some interesting stats about startup exits in the web industry, his presentation moved onto the Mobile Web: With the new iPhone and all those amazing phones coming out, the Mobile Web seems to be the future! And the time to jump on it is now, since it’ll... (more...)
Wadja Hot Tips
Every week I will be writing useful hot tips concerning Wadja features. I will begin with Labels on photos. Label is this square box that you put on uploaded photos in the Mediabox section. You can use Labels to describe something funny on a photo or to draw attention to something. Labels can be funny and useful because they create a unique feeling related with your photos and what is most important, is that this feeling is shared with your friends and contacts. All you have to do to add labels to your favorite photos is to go to your photos in your Mediabox and click on the “Add Label” button. The square box will appear and next to it you can add your text. Adjust its size and drag it anywhere on the photo and click “ok”. You can add... (more...)
