Hints & Tips: Email updates to Labels

Hello Wadja World,

Did you know that you can update your labels straight from your email? That means that you can update your label straight from your mobile phone!

A label created for a local nightclub, corner shop, or musician for example, can be directly updated from your handset (by opening any email client), while you’re on the go. Imagine an unexpected special guest appearance at your neighbourhood pub, a discount at a corner shop, or a surprise incident at a concert… you can update all the people that follow your label instantly. Is your favourite coffee shop giving away a free cup? Inform all your friends and followers right away with one simple email, and they will receive instant updates straight to their handsets.

The beauty of this feature lies in its simplicity. No sign ups, no logins, no downloads of APIs, no connections to the Web, no installations on your phone. Simply write and send an email to your own label, and it will automatically update all your followers instantly.

Here’s how

Write:

1. From your registered email account (hotmail, yahoo, google etc.) a message to your Wadja ID.
For example someone whose name is “XYZ” and has a hotmail account, would write:
From: XYZ@hotmail.com
To: XYZ@wadja.com

2.  @WadjaID
This tells the system to whom at Wadja it should send the update. Write “@” and the Wadja ID in the body of the email.

3.  #Label name
This tells the system to which label the update should go. Write “#” and the name of the label you want to update in the body of the email.

4. Your news update
That’s it! Send your update and it will appear in your label feed.

The image above is an example where Paul is sending an update to Alex’s label entitled “Chelsea”. Follow that simple example to update your own label or see a video here: http://www.youtube.com/wadjamedia#p/u/0/CmHjOND-u88

Have fun and keep updating your labels!
